Chad Westfall

If it’s automotive know-how you need, ranging from auction expertise to engine assembly to tech talk (especially about Fords), Chad Westfall is your (Blue Oval) man. “Chad’s forgotten more about the automotive industry and how things work, then I have ever known and probably will ever know,” is a common phrase heard around the office. He is a crucial part of our team and our everyday successes, plus our raining tech expert on most things with engines.

Chad brings a wide range of experience and enthusiasm to HPP. Prior to joining HPP, Chad was the Domestic and Truck Editor for Kelley Blue Book. Here he attended auctions on a weekly basis, courted and advised dealers, provided vehicle market analysis data and was looked to regularly as an industry expert by OEM’s and other manufacturer’s in his field. He managed to take care of all of these things well still being responsible for the values for 70% of the US market.

But Chad wasn’t always in the automotive industry. Previous to joining Kelley Blue Book his love for all things with motors pointed him to the marine industry. Working on the shores of the beautiful Catalina Island in California, he served as a marine mechanic for Sherrill Marine Services. Handling the repair and maintenance of boats, re-powering engines, transmissions and generators, to customer service, there’s not much Chad can’t do when it comes to the marine industry.

Being a tried and true Blue Oval man, Chad started out his career focusing on his one true love, Fords! Working at Sanderson Ford in Arizona, Chad became certified in Ford’s Asset Program with a specialty for Diesel engines. Even to this day if it’s not a diesel and a Ford, Chad wouldn’t be caught dead owning it.

Chad holds an AA in Applied Science from Glendale Community College in Arizona. He is Ford Bumper to Bumper Certified, a member of the Motor Press Guild and SEMA’s Young Executive Network. He, also, has passions for creating project vehicles (Fords of course), home restoration, and woodworking.
